Futebol Americano na Escola!

 

On Sunday the 21^st of April, there will be an American football game at Centro Cívico. This will be a low intensity game only meant for fun while teaching the basics of the sport. Playing time will be from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. If you’re late, don’t worry about it. Just jump right into the game. 

No domingo, dia 21 de abril, vamos realizar um jogo de futebol americano no Centro Cívico. Será um jogo leve apenas para divertir e aprender os fundamentos do esporte. O mesmo será das 10h às 12h.

Se você chegar atrasado, não se preocupe! É só entrar no jogo.

For lunch, I’ve decided to open up the grill and do some barbecuing. I plan on making my Mexican Fajitas. Vania and I will provide the condiments, but will ask everyone to bring their own meat or pitch in beforehand, so that I can purchase extra. Oh! Bring some refreshments too. I’ll probably drink a couple Bud myself.

Para o almoço decidimos fazer um churrasco. Eu planejo fazer minhas Fajitas mexicanas. A Vânia e eu providenciaremos os temperos, mas pedimos que cada um traga sua própria carne ou pague sua parte antecipadamente, para que eu possa comprar a mais. Ah! Traga sua bebida também. Eu provavelmente beberei umas 2 Buds.

The game is for anyone (male/female). This is not going to be tackle, only grab or touch. I don’t want anyone getting hurt. However, some people may end up hitting the turf; it all depends. So, don’t wear your Sunday best and be prepared to get a little dirty.

O jogo é para qualquer pessoa (homem / mulher). Não haverá ataques. Não quero que ninguém se machuque. No entanto, alguns podem acabar caindo na grama, tudo depende. Então não vista sua roupa de Missa e esteja preparado para se sujar um pouquinho.

In the off chance that it rains, Centro Cívico informed us that we could use the racket ball courts—if no one is using it. But of course, this would nix the barbecue.

Na possibilidade de chuva, o Centro Cívico nos informou que poderíamos usar a quadra de Handball, caso ninguém esteja usando. Mas claro, isso cancelaria o churrasco.

Please mark this date down in your agenda and let me know that you are committing to the game. The people at centro civico were very nice in giving us the field for the day; the least we can do is show up.
